Over 10 years ago, I started Good Wood Nashville in my garage in East Nashville. I saw the beauty in vintage and reclaimed wood and loved seeing it come to life in floors, furniture and accent walls. At that time, the big. box stores didn’t carry “faux” Barnwood so we did it the old fashioned way: We tore down barns. We went to old buildings slated for demolition. We travelled the countryside, all over Tennessee and Kentucky to see what was out there to reclaim.
Our motto back then? Reclaim, repurpose, renew. We still believe in that.
Not all of the wood that we work with is reclaimed, but most of it tells a story.
