IT ALL STARTED IN A GARAGE.
In 2012, Dave Puncochar was on a mission to restore the soul of his East Nashville Victorian home. Frustrated by his search for flooring that could match the charm and character of century-old wood, he decided to build something better himself.
What began in a garage quickly turned into something more than expected. Dave started sourcing and selling reclaimed barnwood, antique flooring, and materials with a story to tell. Word spread around the neighborhood, and then around town. Soon, neighbors and builders were knocking on his door — not just for wood, but for the spirit behind it.
Today, Good Wood Nashville is a trusted source for unique lumber: reclaimed, raw, and full of character. While our inventory has grown far beyond the garage, our mission remains the same — to celebrate the natural beauty of wood, help others build something meaningful with it, and remain Nashville’s lumber store.
